As I sit here looking at the beautiful ocean and listening to the soothing sound of the waves, I can’t help but reflect on how different my life is than it was almost three years ago.
Let me take you back a few years. I found myself in a loveless marriage and in a career that was draining the life out of me. I knew with every ounce of my being that there had to be more to life than this, right? I just knew that I was meant to do more with my life.
So therein started my journey to find happiness in love and life and not settle anymore. Well it may sound easy, but trust me it was soul searchingly hard and hurt a few people along the way.
I knew I had to end my marriage and as lovely as he was, it was just not making me happy. After a lengthy hospital stay I took stock of my life and knew that some serious changes needed to happen.
So I left my marriage, got divorced and started my personal development path and rediscovered my love of helping people. That led to my certification as a Life Coach and the birth of Living Your Truth. It has been my most satisfying accomplishment and the most rewarding thing I have ever done.
And I did this at the ripe age of 50. So if you think, well I am too old to change, that I’m stuck in my life, career, or marriage, well guess again. You are NEVER too old to turn things around. To live your life by your design not default. To find love again. I did and it is with the person I am meant to be with forever.
The most unselfish thing you can do is to do what makes you happy, because everybody around you will reap the benefits of your happiness, of your new found love of life. It’s ok to want more; it’s ok to realize you are settling and to want to change that. Take the word settle out of your vocabulary.
So take an honest hard look at your life. What makes you happy? What makes you sad? If you did nothing about the things that really make you unhappy what would your life look like in 5 or 10 years? Now think about if you changed your life and things that were not working in it. If you allowed yourself to dare to desire more in life, business and love. What would that look like in 5 or 10 years?
So now what? Want change? Need change? Need help? Confused? Not sure what the first step is? Then allow me to show you the way. It’s never too late. Don’t be one of those women that live an “Unlived life” To me that is life’s greatest tragedy. Dare to want more, dare to aspire for more, dare to find true love and happiness and own it and embrace it.
To the future!!!!
With Much Love,
