3 SIMPLE WAYS TO BEAT BELLY BOAT
So its summer time and we are all on the looking bikini ready bandwagon. We eat relatively healthy; we work out so that we can wear that 2-piece with pride. And then it happens. You look down and somehow you look like you are ready to give birth. Like WTF???!!!!
Well have no fear there are a few simple steps that you can take to beat that belly bloat and it does not involve foods that you are or aren’t eating. Say it isn’t so! Is it too good to be true? Nope, its simple little tweaks that will get that belly back into bikini-worthy shape.
So read on my pretties, you flat belly is a few simple steps away.
- Take a timeout. When you are all worked up because you are stressed out, guess what? Your body rebels and big time. It moves blood flow away from your stomach and hampers digestion. I kid you not. Your body then releases a stress hormone, the dreaded cortisol and that has been proven to increase belly fat. Thank you cortisol, you little bitch. The simple cure to combat this stress hormone is so easy you are going to want to kiss me. Simply take a few deep breaths. This helps to calm you, get oxygen to your organs and trust me it will make a huge difference.
- Drink up. Not beer or cocktails, but H2O. Being dehydrated can result in intestinal stagnation and then, yup, you got it, BLOATING!!!! So stay hydrated and the best way to do that is to make your water bottle your new best friend. Keep it with you wherever you go, but don’t just carry it around, you have to actually drink from it!!! Even if you are not thirsty, take a swig. Staying hydrated will be a huge help in beating that belly bloat. Say that three times!!!
- Get up and walk!! Sitting for a period of time is not good for your back among other things. But did you know that sitting actually compresses your stomach? Think of your poor intestines all squished up. I mean how do you expect it to work and digest what’s in there? Sitting can slow down the digestion process. So if you have a job that you need to be seated for long periods of time, try standing or walking for a short time, every hour. These short intervals will really help move things along and keep the digestion process in motion.
So you see, belly bloat does not have to make you feel uncomfortable or fat, not when these few simple steps can make a huge difference. So don that bikini proudly, a flat belly is only a few steps away.
